                                    Presente Continuo  (Afirmativa)

El presente continuo se forma:

Sujeto + Be (en presente) + Verbo terminado en ing

I am working

He is working

They are working

Debemos fijarnos en el conjugación del verbo work en forma afirmativa.

                                                AFIRMATIVA

                              I am working                                I´m working

                             you are working                            you´re working

                             he is working                                 he´s working

                             she is working                                she´s working

                             it is working                                    it´s working

                             we are working                               we´re working

                             you are working                             you´re working

                             they are working                            they´re working

La terminación -ing se añade al verbo según las siguientes reglas:

1. En muchos verbos se añade simplemente -ing  al infinitivo.

                work      working

                study      studying

                play        playing

                sing        singing

2. Los verbos acabados en -e la pierden y se añade -ing

               take             taking

               dance          dancing

               arrive          arriving

               come           coming

3. Los verbos de una sola sílaba acabados en una vocal corta + una consonante

    doblan la consonante final y añaden -ing.

              swin         swimming

              stop          stopping

             run            running

             cut             cutting

4. Los verbos de dos o más sílabas doblan la última consonante si el acento

     tónico cae en la última sílaba

         begin              beginning

                             PRESENTE CONTINUO  (Negativa)

El presente continuo en forma negativa es:

Sujeto + Be (presente) + not + Verbo terminado en ing

                        I am not working

                       She isn´t working

                            Negativa

              I am not working                 I´m not working

             You are not working             You aren´t working

             He is not working                 He isn´t working

             She is not working                She isn´t working

             It is not working                    It isn´t working

            We are not working                We aren´t working

            You are not working               You aren´t working

            They are not working              They aren´t working

                 PRESENTE  CONTINUO  (Interrogativa)

La interrogativa del presente continuo se forma poniendo 

el verbo be delante del sujeto.

The men are working

- Los hombres están trabajando

Are the men working?

- ¿Están los hombres trabajando?

Be (presente) + Sujeto + Verbo terminado en ing + ?

Is she working?

¿Está trabajando?

Ésta es la conjugación del verbo work en forma interrogativa.
